“Proud Korean Awards”
Korea Global Foundation proposed to grant “Proud Korean Awards” during the 3rd World Korean Forum Los Angeles in 2002 and the Board Member Meeting adopted this proposal.

After that, National Awards Committee was composed and granted the first prizewinner during 4th World Korean Forum in Berlin in 2003. KGF presents this award every year during the World Korean Forum. The procedure of selection for the prizewinner is recommending and collecting publicly.
The purpose of granting “Proud Korean Awards” is to find proud Koreans in the World and let all people know their achievements. It will contribute to develop Korean society and to form community.
Special prize is given to foreigners who have affection for Korea and lend oneself to exchange collaborate and research for Korea.
- one who enhances Korean people’s glory with great achievement in international society
- one who contributes to the development of racial society
- one who devotes oneself to the Country
- one who contribute to the peaceful reunification
- one who contribute to the national identity and education for the future generation by participating in language, culture and/or history education
- one who contribute to form national community
- one who contribute to the Korean economic development by economic activities
Send a recommendation (4 pages in Korean or English) and a recommendee’s CV to the corresponding members of National Awards Committee before April 30th according to the criterions for selection. info@KoreanGlobalFoundation.org
