Korea Global Foundation (KGF) is an Influential In-Out Korean Intellectual Organization whose aim is to function as a Korean international think tank. It was founded as Korean Forum Foundation in New York on January 1, 1999 to contribute the development of Korea history in 21st century and to promote the international exchanges. It is a self-generated and independent non-profit organization. The leading members are including home and abroad scholars who are specialized in reunification, and international relations, the leaders of Korean communities overseas, specialists, religionists, businesspeople, and opinion leaders. At present, Dr. Tshang Chu Rhee takes charge of the Head of Korean Global Foundation.
The ultimate goal of Korea Global Foundation is to enhance the status of Korea and to increase the better understanding in international society. To achieve this goal, we are determined to make every effort to form Korean community spirit, to help the reunification of the North and South Korea, to help national prosperity, and to increase the interchange between nations.
To realize this goal, Korea Global Foundation expands its business including World Korean Forum, Global Round Table, Leadership Academy, research projects, publishing, excavation Korean history, international cooperation exchanges, publishing business for Established Korean theory. In addition, Korea Global Foundation holds international conference forum seminars at the controversial spots within and outside Korea to contribute to realize Korean historical desires and themes which are the change from external circumstances times to the North and South times, the change from dividing contemporary history to unified contemporary history, and the change from Unified Korea to World Korea. These businesses will make Korea more worthwhile and help cooperation joint achievement for the future.
Korea Global Foundation is a non-profit intelligence organization which is registered with U.S. federal government, and State government of Virginia and California. In March 2004, KGF moved its head office from Los Angeles to Washington DC. In 2007, KGF opened Seoul headquarter which has research team, forum team, education team, and publishing team to cover Northeast Asia area.
World Korean Forum is evaluated as a Global Korean Peace Journey and served as a representative international discussion forum which deals with problems in Korean Peninsula. WKF is getting much attention from international society.
